Roy "Brian" Brunson

Roy “Brian” Brunson, of Florence, SC, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026.

He is the son of Brenda McDaniel Brunson and the late Henry Roy Brunson Jr.

Brian found joy in many things throughout his life. He had a love for fishing and spent countless hours flying remote-controlled airplanes. A devoted fan of the Clemson Tigers, he never missed a game. Above all, Brian cherished the moments spent with his family, creating memories that will last forever.

In addition to his dad, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Bradley Brunson.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Kristin Brunson; son, Brae Brunson; daughter, Briann Brunson; grandchild, Dahlia Hernandez; brother, Richard Barry (Carmen) Brunson; sister, Cynthia Brunson (Richard) Verstraete; father and mother-in-law, Tom (Janet) Freeman; sister-in-law, Kelly Johnson; nephews, Andrew Christopher Hardin, Edward Chase Hardin, Tyler Brunson, and Jonathan Brunson; and great nephew, Derik Brunson.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
