Rosemarie Lasalo Papeo

Rosemarie LaSalo Papeo, 83, of Queens, NY, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026.

She is the daughter of the late Faustino LaSalo and Rose Anonna LaSalo.

She devoted her life to raising her two sons, Victor and Thomas. She worked tirelessly to provide for them and create a loving home through her strength, perseverance, and devotion.

She had a very successful career in finance. Working for multiple companies including, Dominos, Computer Products, and United Wholesale and finally retiring from Broward County Schools.

After retiring she left Margate, Florida and moved to Effingham, SC. Her move began a new chapter in her life. One that allowed her to slow down and enjoy retirement. She enjoyed mall walking, traveling to New York to see broadway shows and Neil Diamond Concerts. Her favorite place to be was in her kitchen cooking for family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Victor (Heather) Papeo and Thomas (Christy) Papeo; grandchildren, Thomas Joseph Papeo, Victoria Papeo, Kara Papeo (Rivers) Byrd, Michael Papeo, Stephen Papeo, and Christopher (Merissa) Papeo; great grandchildren, Mila Byrd, Arli Byrd, Skylar Papeo, Valerie Papeo, and Bjorn Papeo; sister, Jeanne Robertson.

The family would like to send a very special thank you to Pee Dee Gardens Assisted Living and Gentiva for their love and support during a difficult time.
