Rosa Lee Smith Anderson

Rosa Lee Smith Anderson, 95, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017. Mrs. Anderson was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late Almond Eugene Smith and Lela Isgett Smith. She retired from Sears after forty-three years of service. Mrs. Anderson worked with Stanley Home Products as a representative and group leader for fifty-eight years until her death.She was a founding member of Southside Baptist Church. She enjoyed making handmade quilts and loved cooking and working in the yard. Surviving are her son, Paul (Robin) Anderson of Florence; grandchildren, Emily E. Anderson and Jordan Matthews; special friend of sixty-five years, Elease Wheeler; special cousin and close friend, Susan Kirby; and many special nieces and nephews and extended family. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank McMillan Anderson; brothers, Almond “Jack” Eugene Smith, Jr. and Hoyt Legette Smith and special friend, Elbert Owens. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Southside Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the church.
