Ronald "Ronnie" C. Herring

Ronald “Ronnie” C. Herring, 68, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017. Mr. Herring was born in Dillon, SC, a son of the late Charles H. Herring and Marie Brown Herring.He retired from Honda after fifteen years of service.He was a devoted husband, father and friend to many.Mr. Herring loved spending quality time with his grandkids. He also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, Corvettes and working in the yard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Wayne Herring, Patricia Herring, Charles G. “Cotton” Herring, Dale Herring and Brenda H. Jackson. Surviving are his wife, Mary Herring; sons, Spencer (Keagan) Herring of Lugoff and Ronald C. (Betty) Herring, Jr. of Marion; daughter, Dawn (Tommy) Wassmer of Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Kira Loudon, Xander Herring, Alexis Wassmer, Thomas Wassmer, Justin Herring and Nicole Herring; great-grandchildren, Jaiden Bellamy and Destiny Herring; sisters, Sue (Bobby) Darmon of Dillon, Gail(Curt) Melton of Scranton and Anna (Harry) Page of Dillon; and sisters-in-law, Betty Herring of Lexington, SC and Susan Herring of Dillon. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
