Ronald Patrick Martin

RONALD PATRICK MARTIN, 74, formerly of Florence, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 in the McLeod Hospice House after a battle with cancer. Ronald was the son of the late Oliver E.Martin and Irene Martin Parker. He served his country in the US Navy, and retired from the United States Postal Service. After retirement, he worked with Carter Amusement in Reevesville, SC. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a half-brother, Richard M. Parker of Laurinburg. Surviving are 2 daughters, Kristy (Randy) Chavis of Reevesville and Jennifer (Ben) Rogers of Santa Monica, CA; half-brother, Kenneth Lynn (Lisa) Parker, 2 sisters, Gloria Coldren and Barbara Holladay, both of Florence; half-sister, Katherine (Kenny) McCormick of Laurinburg; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 11, 2015 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
