Ronald Lefay Stone

Ronald LeFay Stone passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on January 13, 2026, at 2:35 p.m., surrounded by his family. After a long and courageous journey with dementia and serious illness, Ron is now whole, healed, and finally at rest.

Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was defined by resilient strength, deep love, and unwavering faith. He worked hard, stood firm through life’s challenges, and fiercely loved his family. He was especially proud of his children and found great joy in his grandchildren and great-grandchild, who were among his greatest blessings.

Ron was a Christian who held fast to the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. While his family mourns his passing on earth, they rejoice knowing he has gone home to Heaven—free from pain and suffering—and now fully restored in the presence of his Savior.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Benjamin Stone.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Kathryn Wiggins Stone; his children, Erin Leslie Stone Ivey (Ken), Laura Ashley Stone Drayton (Ashley), and Ronald LeFay Stone II (Dee); his grandchildren, Kenneth Braxton Ivey II (Annie), Leslie Kathryn Ivey Basile (Zachary), Ronald LeFay Stone III (Trey), and Aaron Wynn Stone; and his great-grandchild, Cayden Gabrielle Ivey. He is also survived by his mother, Ruth Stone; his sister, Jean Stone Williams; his brother, Daniel (Angie) Stone; and his sister, Sharon Stone (Larry) Parrott.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at South Florence Baptist Church, located at 2720 S. Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. A committal service will follow at Mizpah Cemetery, Highway 327.
