RODNEY WAYNE TURNER Rodney Wayne Turner, 62, of Florence, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 21, 2017. Mr. Turner was born in San Antonio, TX a son of Frances Harrelson Turner and the late Clyde Milton Turner.He graduated from West Florence High School and attended Francis Marion University where he was a member of the KA Fraternity.The company started by his father, Turner Manufacturing 1982 - 2002, was operated by he and his sister until its closing.He then became a general contractor for TMC Construction.He was a member and past deacon of First Baptist Church in Florence, loved his family and spending time with his grandson.He was also an avid Gamecock Fan!!He loved to shag to Carolina beach music, loved boating with his family and cruising around in the golf cart. Surviving in addition to his mother of Florence, are his wife, Terrie Cox Turner of Florence; daughters, Erica Turner (Brandon) Hooks and Audra Michelle Turner, both of Florence; brother, Clyde Alan (Kim) Turner of Florence; sisters, Lynda Turner (David) Grant and Donna Turner Griffin, both of Florence; grandson, Turner Miles Hooks; mother-in-law, Shirley F. Cox of Florence; sister-in-law, Sheila (Dave) Wroten of Myrtle Beach and several special nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 300 S. Irby Street, Florence, SC 29501. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM Monday, April 24, 2017 in the foyer of First Baptist Church of Florence with the service following in the church sanctuary at 3:00 PM.Entombment will be in the Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel. The family will receive friends other times at the residence of his daughter, Erica Hooks, 476 Cove Pointe Drive, Florence.
