Robert Wayne Mccracken

Mr. Robert “Wayne” McCracken, 69, of Florence, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2017, after an illness. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Florence directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Wayne was born in Florence County, a son of the late James Woodrow McCracken and Lillian Collins McCracken. Wayne graduated from McClenaghan High School c/o 1966. He was employed by CSX Railroad and worked in Florence and Jacksonville, Florida. After retiring in 1996, Wayne returned to South Carolina and enjoyed reading, playing golf, working in his yard and spending time with his loved ones. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosa Lee Andrews of Florence; a son, Robert “Tyler” McCracken (Rachel Blackman) of Hartsville; a daughter, Lyn McCracken (Trent Shirley) of Florence; a sister, Mrs. Rose Marie Perkins (George Wheeler) of Florence; a brother, James L. “Larry” McCracken (Helen) of Florence; a brother, Danny McCracken of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Madison Carpenter (Brandon Neal), Kelsey McCracken, Brad Brigman, and Josh Brigman; and one great-granddaughter, Kendall Neal.
