ROBERT L. GAYMON Florence, South Carolina Robert L. Gaymon, 67, of Florence, died Monday, June 4, 2012 at a local hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Gaymon was born in Florence County, SC, a son of the late Spurgeon Gaymon and GettieLee Gaymon.He retired from Florence City Fire Department after thirty-two years of service.He drove escorts for A & G Team Cars of SC.Mr. Gaymon loved fishing, hunting and helping others. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, John Wesley Gaymon and his sister, Virgie Lee Gaymon Poston. Surviving are his step-daughter, Sharon (Clyde) Gulledge of Florence; his grandchildren, Denise (Doug) Wahl of Murrels Inlet and Dana Gulledge of Florence; great grandchildren, Elise and Rhys Wahl of Murrells Inlet; his special companion, Mary Kate Hunt; his siblings, Edward (Arliene) Gaymon of Florence, Maxie Jack"Turkey" (Susan) Gaymonof Florence, Mary Ellen Gaymon Lyerly of Darlington, Betty Gaymon Sligh of Florence, and a number of nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.
