Robert David Exum

Robert David Exum, 67, of Effingham, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. David was born on January 25, 1951, to the late Lois Lillie Denton Exum and Rev. Bill Howard.He was a former assistant director of Florence County EMS and a retired paramedic of thirty years.He was a member of Florence Baptist Temple.David was a Christian, husband, father, grandfather, son, friend, paramedic, teacher, mentor, camper, philosopher, historian, storyteller, gun lover, prepper, collector of random facts, and the calm in every storm."Do it right till the stars fall, just do it right." He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deborah Exum; sons, Dax Exum and Andy Martin; and daughter, Tara Martin-Goodman. Surviving are his daughter, Rachael Exum; and grandchildren, Wesley Tyler Martin, Conner Jack Martin, Kristian Exum, Kaleb Exum, Lily Exum, and Rebecca Johnston. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Florence Baptist Temple. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Florence Baptist Temple directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
