Robert E. Cooper, III Dunwoody, GA Robert E. Cooper, III, 70, Of Dunwoody, formerly of Florence, SC, died May 6, 2012. Mr. Cooper was a 1960 graduate from McClenaghan High School, Florence, SC and later graduated from the University Of South Carolina. He went on to pursue a career as an executive with Sears and retired as an auditor with the Dekalb County School System. Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Barbara Cameron Cooper; son, Cameron Cooper of New York; daughter and son in law, Ashley E. Cooper and Michael Dockus of Dunwoody; grandchildren, Jack and Royce Dockus; devoted mother in law, Ruby Cameron and sisters, Beth Bridgers of Columbia, SC and Nannette Gabrielli of Marietta. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Friendship United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of Barbara & Robert's sister, Betty C. McLeod, 4109 Byrnes Blvd in the Country Club of SC, Florence, SC 29506. Mr. Cooper was a proud member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made in his memory to his church, Friendship United Methodist Church, 5422 E. Old Marion highway, Florence, SC 29506.
