Robert Lawrence Dahl

Robert Lawrence Dahl, 76, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Dahl was born in Meyersdale, PA, a son of the late Paul B. Dahl and Angela C. Noble Dahl.He was a Veteran of the US Navy and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.Mr. Dahl was the tennis coach at Exeter Township High School in Reading, PA and taught math for thirty-five years in the Reading public school system. He received his Masters Degree from Rutger’s University in New Jersey and his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.He also served on the board of the homeowners association at Highland Lakes Retirement Community, where he lived for seventeen years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katie Krize. Surviving are his wife of forty-nine years, Donna Belcher Dahl; his son, Allen P. (Leslie) Dahl of Orwigsburg, PA and his daughter, Michele Krize of Florence, SC; his granddaughter, Erika Krize of Florence and her father, Michael Krize of Reading, PA and his grandsons, Jonathan Dahl and Jeffrey Dillman, both of Orwigsburg, PA ; his sister, Jean D. Edwards of Fairfax, VA; and his brothers, Thomas E. Dahl of Milton, DE and John Schutrick of Pittsburgh, PA . A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at St. Anthony Catholic Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
