Robert Oliver Brunson

Robert Oliver Brunson, Sr.,78, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017. Mr. Brunson was born in Sumter County, a son of the late Blaney L. Brunson and Mary Lynch Brunson.He was a retired site superintendent with Pee Dee Environmental.Mr. Brunson was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He loved to fish, hunt and boating.He took pride in being an expert heavy equipment operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert “Robbie” Brunson, Jr., two brothers and four sisters. Surviving are his wife, Martha Louise Watts Brunson; his brothers-in-law, Buddy Watts (Nelly) and Leon “Frazz” Watts, both of Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
