Robert "Bob" David Witherspoon

Robert “Bob” David Witherspoon, Sr., 72, Pamplico, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018. Mr. Witherspoon was born a son of the late Louise Frierson Witherspoon and Leroy Witherspoon.He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam.He retired from Wellman Industries.Mr. Witherspoon was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. He liked to fish and loved to golf.He especially loved his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Linwood Witherspoon and Legrande Witherspoon. He is survived by his wife, Judith Stanley Witherspoon; son, Robert David Witherspoon, Jr. (Magen) of Pamplico; daughter, Amy Witherspoon Hall (Tim) of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Mary Hanna Witherspoon, Ava Grace Isgett, HaLeigh Haywood (Trent), Robert Ethan Cox, Avery Cox and Olivia Cox; great-grandchildren, Blaise Haywood and Arlo Kate Haywood; sister, Andrea Debney of Pamplico; and many loved nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery.
