Robert William "Bob" Beach

Robert William “Bob” Beach, 74, of Florence, SC passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025.

Bob was born December 22, 1950, to the late Robert F. “Poncho” Beach and Marilyn Beach. He was born and raised in Watertown, NY and worked as a civilian employee for Fort Drum, NY. In June 1980, he married Ester Sixberry. In November 1985, he became a child of God and grew to become a strong man of God. He moved to Florence, SC in 1994, and was a faithful member of Tans Bay Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of forty-five years, Esther Pearl Sixberry Beach; stepmother, Lillian “Lolly” Beach; a daughter, Bobbie (Kyle) Gibbs. He became a stepfather to sons, Mickal (Michelle), Matthew (Cindy), and Jason (Shelly) Durant. He was “Papa” to grandchildren, Joshua Gibbs (Delaney), Daniel Gibbs, Thea (Sean) Bohannon, Andrew Durant, Mickaela Durant, McKenzie Durant, Joey Durant, and Mark Durant. He had three great-grandchildren, Matthew Durant, Jace Durant and Cullen Bohannon, who was born on his birthday. He is also survived by three sisters, Sue Roberts, Cindy Massey, Robin Hadley and a brother, Howard Fleming.

The family will receive friends 11:00 – 12:00 PM Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Tans Bay Baptist Church with the memorial service to follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
