Rita Gregg Taylor Florence, SC Rita Gregg Taylor, 67 of Florence, died on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at her residence after an illness. Mrs. Taylor was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late William McCall Gregg and Lydia Rogers Gregg.She was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, a moderator of the Tuesday Morning Circle, and a member of the Boots Gregg Sunday School Class.She graduated from McClenaghan High School and attended the Kings Business College in Charlotte, NC.Mrs. Taylor was employed by Pee Dee Cardiology prior to her retirement. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her first husband, Ernest Ira Hill. Surviving are her son, Ernest Gregg Hill of Florence; a daughter, Lacie Lawhon and her husband, Benji Lawhon of Timmonsville; two grandchildren, Kayla Morris and David Morris both of Florence; and a sister, Judy Gregg Baker of Florence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December, 20, 2011 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church.Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
