Richard Laverne Tunstall

Richard Laverne Tunstall, 72, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Tunstall was born in Florence County, a son of the late Irby Tunstall and Lisa Springs Tunstall.He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.Mr. Tunstall was a member of Pamplico P.H. Church and was a Mason.He had retired as a sub-contractor for Scurry & Sons Construction. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Azalee Burroughs Tunstall. Surviving are his son, Larry L. (Marsha) Tunstall of Florence; brother, Charles “Pee Wee” (Elmer) Tunstall of Timmonsville; his sister, Marie “Helen” Pridgen of Scranton and his grandchildren, Mitchell Tunstall and Madelynn Tunstall. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 on Saturday, November 22, 2014, Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
