Richard Raymond Rothgeb

Richard Raymond Rothgeb, 88, of Darlington, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020. Mr. Rothgeb was born in Harvey, IL a son of the late Romeo Leo Rothgeb and Nellie Delonjay Rothgeb.He had served in the US Army and in the National Guard.He retired from the US Coast Guard and was a member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene M. Alderden Rothgeb; grandson, Daniel Rothgeb, and by 13 of his siblings. Surviving are his children, Charlotte Ann Rothgeb, Richard Raymond (Carol) Rothgeb, Jr., Samantha Rothgeb, Peggy (Darrick) Gattison, and Katie Hardwick; grandchildren, Dalton Rothgeb, Cody (Morgan) Rothgeb, Coldy Rothgeb, Sapphire Rothgeb, Elizabeth Beavers, Keegan Beavers, Zoe Beavers, Lee Parish, Mia Parish, Armoni Hardwick, Kash Hardwick, Isaac Hardwick, Afaya Hardwick, Kai Hardwick; brothers, Donald Rothgeb and Normand Rothgeb. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:30 am Friday, December 4, 2020 at Lake Swamp Baptist Church with the service to be held at 11:30 am in the church.Burial will follow in the Florence National Cemetery.
