Richard Paola

Richard Paola, 63, of Florence, SC, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Richard found great joy in watching sports with his friends and sons. He especially loved NASCAR, New York Yankees baseball, and New York Giants football. A lifelong Elvis fan, Richard always appreciated the music that brought him so much happiness. He also enjoyed Italian food and, in his final years, became a wonderful cook. On Sundays, he would often make a pot of sauce, knowing the promise of a family dinner would bring the kids over for a visit. Above all, he cherished his grandchildren, who meant the world to him.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel Wilson (Gina) Paola and Richard Paola Jr; daughters, Brittaney (Chris) Delgado, Maria Paola (Davit) and Jenna Lester; grandchildren, Ava Paola, Roslyn Paola, Gianna Delgado, Briella Delgado, and Jaxon Delgado; brother, Ron Paola; and sister, Carrie Paola. Also, Foxy, “his Baby” (dog), will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Paola.

A celebration of life will take place Thursday at 5:30 PM, 10/22/2026 at 2900 Rebel Lane, Florence, SC (Dan and Gina’s).
