Rex Joey Hendrix

Rex Joey Hendrix, 51, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

He was born in Florence, SC, the son of the late Rex Gordon Hendrix and June Gail Strickland Hendrix. Mr. Hendrix was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed gardening and loved animals.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his daughters, Destiny June Hendrix and Angel Adele (James) McKenzie; sister, Jenny Gail Butler; grandchildren, Christian Jones, Kylie Parnell, Scarlett Parnell, Lilah McKenzie, and Ariah McKenzie; nieces, Sarah Prichard and Christina Butler; and nephew, Timothy Butler.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
