Reverend Jean Marilyn McKenzie Inman, 79, of Florence, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Florence National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mrs. Inman was born in Dillon, SC, on April 29, 1935, to the late Mr. Fred McKenzie and Fanny Herring McKenzie.She pastored several churches, including The Gospel Mission Church in Florence, Bishopville, Gastonia, NC, and surrounding mission areas.She was also a licensed worker of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She hosted the Gospel Hour on WOLS Radio each Sunday @ 1:45 pm.She also served her community as a LPN for a number of years in South Carolina in the counties of Dillon, Conway, Marion and Florence, and in Gastonia, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the late Mr. William Norris, her first union; their children, the late Joseph Norris and the late Jessica Norris Parker, both of Florence; by her second union of twenty-five years, the late Mr. Albert M. Inman; a brother Roy McKenzie and a sister, Pauline McKenzie. She leaves to cherish her, her two sisters, Grace Lane of North Carolina and Maxine Nunnery of Florence, SC; her three grandchildren, Billy (Amanda) Norris, Tonya Parker and Randy Parker; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of dear friends and family.
