Rev. Dayton Ronald "Ron" Glover Florence, SC Rev. Dayton Ronald "Ron" Glover, 77, of Florence, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.If Ron met you today, he would ask you at sometime during the conversation, "Do you know Jesus?".His desire for you is to know his savior, Jesus.He is the way, the truth and the life. John 14:6. Rev. Glover was born in Covington, VA a son of the late Elzie Dayton Glover and Erie Frances Ray Glover.He graduated from Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia and received his Masters from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia.He was a former pastor at Pine Hall Presbyterian Church in N.C., Sandy Ridge Presbyterian Church in N.C., Clarksville Presbyterian Church in Clarksville, VA, Northminster Presbyterian Church in Madison Heights, VA, Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Florence, SC and Brunswick Presbyterian Church in Brunswick, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Tom Glover. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Patricia "Pat" Adkins Glover of Florence; children, Marcia Glover and William "Bill" (Tonnie) Glover, both of Florence; grandchildren, Lee Barton, II of Charleston, SC, Alyssa Glover of Georgia, Dayton Barton of Columbia and Brittany and Emerald Schamburek, both of Florence; sister, Louise Lipes of Covington, VA; twin brother, Don Glover of New York; brother, David Glover of Smithfield, VA and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Church at King Avenue Mission Fund, 800 King Avenue, Florence, SC29501. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Church at King Avenue.Entombment will be held at a later date directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
