Rebecca Lee Weaver

Rebecca Lee Weaver, 76, of Hartsville, SC passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018. Mrs. Weaver was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late Mike Saleeby and Margaret Weaver Saleeby.She was a dietician for many years with Bruce Hospital and retired from the Salvation Army having done clerical work.She was a faithful member of Palmetto Street Church of God where she sang in the choir, was a loving mother and devoted Christian. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Wallace Purvis, Sr., who passed away in 1994 and by a brother, Mikey Saleeby. Surviving are her husband, Nathaniel Weaver of Hartsville; sons, Wallace (Rita) Purvis, Jr. of Greenville, SC, Herbie (Angela) Purvis and Scott (Sherelle) Purvis, both of Effingham; daughter, Margaret Purvis of Hartsville; step-sons, Timothy Ray (Charla) Weaver of Hawaii and Philip Ryan (Tina) Weaver of Goldsboro; step-daughter, Kimberly Moore of Wilmington; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Palmetto Street Church of God Family Life Center with burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
