Raymond James Miles

Raymond James Miles, Sr. Florence, SC Raymond James Miles, Sr., 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday evening, October 12, 2014 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Florence Baptist Temple. Entombment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery Mausoleum, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mr. Miles was born in Florence, SC a son of the late William Redman Miles and Pauline Suzanne McCants Miles. He was a devoted family man and a member of the Florence Baptist Temple.He was employed as an Investigator in the Solicitor’s Office for the 12th Judicial Circuit of Florence County, having spent most of his career in Law Enforcement. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two brothers. Surviving are his four children, Jimmy (Doreen) Miles, Chris (Lynn) Miles, Anna Miles all of Florence and Sharon (Johnny) Johnson of Athens, Ga; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
