Raymond Christopher "Big Chris" Eason

Raymond Christopher “Big Chris” Eason Jr. died on the evening of May 21, 2017 in Florence, SC due to an illness. He was 71. Mr. Eason was born on December 29, 1945 in Goldsboro, NC to the parents of Ray and Elsie Eason. He attended McClenaghan High School and graduated in 1964. He married Diane Burrows in 1965. The Eason’s lived in Florence where he worked at DuPont for 39 plus years. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Mr. Eason was an avid outdoorsman who spent a great deal of his time hunting and fishing with close friends. He also enjoyed getting together with close friends periodically to fry fish and discuss past memories with each other. He was a member of Woodstone Hunting Club, and former member of Pearce Hunting Club and Trophy Hunting Club. Mr. Eason is survived by his sons, Raymond Christopher Eason III (Sharon) and Frank Leonard Eason, his sisters, Laura (Franklin) Lambert and Myra Horton, his nieces, Rebekah (Kris) Andrews and Rachel (Chris) Altman, his grandchildren, Hunter Eason and Emily Eason, and his great nieces and nephews, Kirby Altman, Kayden Altman, and Eason Andrews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at Mr. Eason’s residence. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 4pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations to support Frank. Donations can be mailed to 4921 College Lake Drive, Florence, SC 29506.
