Ray C. Linton Florence, SC Ray C. Linton, 86, died early Sunday morning, June 03, 2012 in a Florence Hospital after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Burial will follow, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mr. Linton was born in Bishopville, SC, a son of the late Lonnie E. and Ena Geneva Gandy Linton. He was employed with Flav-o-rich for 27 years, retiring in 1987. Mr. Linton was a veteran of the WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. He attended Mizpah Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary Catherine Love Linton, who died, December 17, 1995. Surviving are his son, Larry Linton of Florence; grandchildren, Buck Linton of Princeton, New Jersey and Brad Linton of Florence; sister, Frankie L. Evans of Florence.
