Ralph Chester Cox

Ralph Chester Cox, 70, of Murrells Inlet, formerly of Florence, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019. Mr. Cox was born a son of the late Dessie Taylor Cox and Ralph Cox. He was a veteran of the US Army and also served in the South Carolina National Guard. He worked with West Rock Paper Company for forty-one years, retiring in 2014, and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his niece, Christina Heaton. Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee Prosser Cox of Murrells Inlet, SC; daughter, Stacie Ward (Brad) of Timmonsville, SC and Raven Soto (Aaron) of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Carson Ward, Allie Ward, Sawyer Soto and Shepard Soto; niece, Melissa Hickman (Jamie); nephew, Les Cox (Amie); and brother, Randy Cox (Louise) of Florence. Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019, at Florence National Cemetery with military honors directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
