Raleigh David Tarte

Raleigh David Tarte, 74, of Effingham, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Mr. Tarte was born a son of the late Raleigh Douglas Tarte and Alda Mae Kirby Tarte.He was a retired operator from General Electric.Mr. Tarte attended Vision Assembly in Darlington. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Betty Lawhon Tarte; son, Michael Tarte (Rebecca) of Effingham; grandchildren, Kayla Tarte and Ashley Tarte; and a large extended family. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Christine Newman (Joe). Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Lebanon Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
