Quinton Storm (Jacobs) Ivey, 16, of Effingham, SC, passed from this life into the Hands of God, Monday April 9, 2018. Storm is the son of Elizabeth (Ivey) and Derrick Thomas, the beloved grandson of Johnny and Karel (Morris) Ivey and nephew and cousin to Johnny Mack and Madison Ivey.He is survived by his grandmother, Pamela Atkins, Uncles Shannon Woodberry and Christopher Thomas, special Aunt Mary (Morris) and James Beshears, Steve and Donnette (Atkinson) Morris, cousinsBeth, Mitchell, and Hayden Lee and Mack, Tracey, Kyle, Halle, and Ethan Morris. Storm deeply loved his Great Uncle Fred and Aunt Tammy (Richburg) Morris. He had an after school and Saturday job with Morris Contracting, LLC. He was a member of Elim Baptist Church. He attended Faith Christian Academy where he gave the staff a run for their money.To the students – he was bigger than life.He loved them all and did not know the meaning of hate or prejudice.Storm followed a long family tradition of fire fighters.He was a proud and humble member of Howe Springs Fire Department and so excited and so accepted by the men and women of the fire services. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Family Life Center at Elim Baptist Church.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Church. Storm passed doing what he loved…playing football in a field on the farm.He came into this life on a lightning bolt with thunder exploding beneath his feet.He was bigger than life itself.An explosion of smiles, joy, and laughter. All he wanted to do was make you smile.A big bear of a young man with the most gentle heart. He was loved and he was loved tremendously! He lived his life full speed and all out.
