Perry Lewis Rogers

PERRY LEWIS ROGERS, SR. Florence, SC Perry Lewis Rogers, Sr., 87, passed away on May 15, 2013, at his home after an illness. He was born in Marion County, South Carolina, a son of the late Lewis Rogers and Minnie Rogers.He was a retired truck driver for Central Motor Lines.He was a member of Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church for eighteen and half years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Eva Mae Strawn Rogers, his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Yarborough and Ronald Yarborough, his brother and six sisters Surviving are his children, Mary (Curely) Nettles, Pat (Floyd) Crawford, Bobbie (Billy) Grainger, Bill Galloway, O’Neal (Lorraine) Anderson, Lewis Rogers and Wanda Galloway; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Elease Kirby, Gertie Jones and Evelyn Byrd, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
