Peggy Turner Miller

April 7, 1929 — January 27, 2014

Mary Elizabeth “Peggy” Turner Miller, 84, of Pamplico, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 27, 2014. Mrs. Miller was born in Hyman, SC, a daughter of the late Arthur Ross Turner and Amanda Louise Young Turner.Her long work history included Electro Motive, JP Stevens, Marsh Lumber Company and the restaurant business, most recently associated with Chucki’s Restaurant.She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church for over forty-six years and attended Beulah Free Will Baptist Church since 2000. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dean Miller; her brothers, George E. Turner and John Wilson Turner. Surviving are her sons, Bobby Dean Miller (Jean DeCamp) of Johnsonville and Don (Debra Yarborough) Miller of Coward, SC; her daughter, Ann M. (Legrande) Hicks of North Charleston, SC; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Ross (Frances) Turner, Jr.; two special children; sisters-in-law, Mary Katherine Lyday and Vonnie Lee Turner; and special friends, Ada “Nottie” and Everett Lee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2014, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery in Pamplico. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 181 E.
