Mr. Paul "Ray" Porter, Sr., age 71, passed away on December 5, 2025, in Florence, South Carolina. Born on January 27, 1954, in Manning, South Carolina, he lived a life marked by generosity, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Ray was a loving father, provider, and husband who would give anyone the shirt off his back to help them. His selflessness and unwavering support left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Whether offering a helping hand or sharing a kind word, Ray's presence brought comfort and strength to those around him.

He is survived by his devoted wife Debbie; his children Paul Jr. (Brittany), Robert, and Teresa (Tim), Andy (Trina), and Donny (Jeni), his niece Cherrish (Julio); his siblings Freddie (Suzy), Dorothy (Johnny), Carl, Martha (Lee), Ronnie (Melissa), and Shirley; Grandchildren Harley (Madison), Alexys (Tim), Drake, Easton, Kelsey, Ella Mae, Maci Ann, Carson, Addison, Greyson, and Andrew; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, friends and loved ones. Ray’s family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in their lives and accomplishments.

He was preceded in death by his mother Olean, father Robert, and sister Pat.

Ray found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, NASCAR, and cherished time spent fishing or watching deer. These hobbies reflected his love for nature and sportsmanship; interests that brought him peace and connection throughout his life.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness and love in his honor.
