Paul Gerald King

PAUL GERALD KING, II EFFINGHAM, SC Paul Gerald King, II, 36, of Effingham, passed away at his home after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family. Gerald was born in Marion County, SC the son of Paul Gerald King and Pamela McLellan King.He was a radiology technologist at McLeod Regional Medical Center.He was a member of Pyerian Baptist Church and attended Elim Baptist Church.He was an avid Clemson fan, loved fishing, hunting and golf.Gerald was a fighter to the end. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Clarence King and his maternal grandparents, Vernon P. McLellan and Isabel C. McLellan. Surviving are his wife, Lindsay Martin King of Effingham; children, Lily Kate King and Layton Maddox King and sister, Pamela Danielle (Scotty) Gasque of Latta; paternal grandmother, Ruby King and nieces. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Avenue North, Suite 101, Myrtle Beach, SC, 29577 or to the Gideon’s International, P. O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN37214-0800. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Saturday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Elim Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
