Paul Wilburn Hudson

Paul Wilburn Hudson, 80, of Pamplico, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

He was born in Effingham, to the late Effie Mae Welch Hudson and Ben Hudson, Sr.

Paul loved spending time with his family and fishing, and he was a talented finishing carpenter. He was a devoted member of Cypress Grove Church, formerly known as Lebanon Church, and enjoyed listening to gospel music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shawn Denise Hudson.

Surviving are his children, Paul Timothy “Timmy” Hudson and Kristin (Jeffrey) Poston; grandchildren, Paul “Cole” Poston (Cayla), Sydney (CJ) Stroud, Jarrett Poston and Tryston Poston; great- grandchildren, Keeley Stroud, Della Stroud, Emory Stroud and Presley Poston; and siblings, Ben Hudson, Jr., Gene Hudson and Mary Carraway.

The family will receive friends at 4:00 PM Sunday, November 09, 2025, at Cypress Grove Church, with the memorial service to follow at 5:00 PM in the sanctuary.
