PATRICK McLAURIN POWELL FLORENCE, SC Patrick McLaurin Powell, 70, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Mr. Powell was born in Florence Co., SC a son of the late Jack and Etta Lois Calcutt Powell. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and had been a truck driver for 30 years. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Shirley Herring Powell of Florence; sons, Tony (Michelle) Powell of Florence and Kevin (Rachael) Powell of Chesapeake, VA; daughters, Patricia Powell and her fiance’, Rob and Audrey (Bruce) Jordan of Florence; sister, Vera (John) Martin of South Port, NC; nine grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to Church of God of Prophecy, 426 Church Street, Florence, SC29506. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Church of God of Prophecy directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
