Patricia "Pat" Odom Byrd

Patricia Odom Byrd, 80, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mrs. Byrd was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late George Washington Odom and Eulalia Nita Broach Odom.She was a graduate of McClenaghan High School in 1957 and was a member of the “57 Ladies Group”, retired as a Branch manager from SC State Credit Union and was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John E. Odom, Jimmy Wayne Odom, and George Robert Odom, and by a sister, Elizabeth Lee Pruitt. Surviving are her husband, Charles Billy Byrd; son, Reggie (Beth) Byrd of Summerville, SC; daughter, Robin (Paul) Anderson of Florence; grandchildren, Joshua Byrd, Rebecca Byrd, Jordan Matthews, and Emily Anderson; many special nieces and nephews and many special dear friends. Memorials may be made to the Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 South Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505, www.fbt.org,or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for research on Multiple Myeloma, www.lls.org. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 pm Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 3, 2019 in the Florence Baptist Temple Chapel.Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens.
