Novelda Brown Driskill, 95, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, 1 day before her 96th birthday, after a brief illness. Mrs. Driskill was born in Palo Pinto, TX. She was the youngest daughter of 10 children, born to the late Waldron Baron “Dodd” Brown and Effie Ola Rasberry Brown.She graduated from Cato High School, worked as a railroad dispatcher and later worked in airplane construction in Dallas, TX during World War II.She married Roger David Driskill in 1946 and began her career as a homemaker with subsequent births of two daughters.She was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger David Driskill in 2005; and her youngestdaughter, Joan Marie Lee in 2013; and all of her siblings. Surviving are her oldest daughter, Patricia Karen Hauck of Florence; four grandchildren, Ryan (Amy) Hauck of Summerville, SC, Cory (Heather) Hauck of Knoxville, TN, Travis Hauck of Columbia, SC, and Christopher (Amber) Lee of Florence; eight great-grandchildren, Austin, Jonas, and Devon Hauck, Miles and Elsie Hauck, Lily and Henry Hauck, and Eleanor Lee; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Friday, August, 13, 2021 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 12:30 pm in the chapel.She will be buried at the Florence National Cemetery with her husband.
