NORMAN EVERETTE DIONNE CMSGT USAF RETIRED FLORENCE, SC Norman Everette Dionne, CMSGT USAF Retired, 86, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015. CMSGT Dionne was born in Caribou, Maine, a son of the late Henry Leon Dionne and Eva Ayotte Dionne.He was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served in Korea and Vietnam.He retired after twenty-two and a half years of serving his country and was the recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Lodge and the VFW.CMSGT Dionne helped establish the Men’s Club and served as Past President of Perpetual Adorations at St. Anthony Catholic Church.He also volunteered at Meals on Wheels for several years and was an avid bowler and golfer. Surviving are his sons, Norman “Keith” Dionne of Timmonsville, Timothy Edwin (Susan) Dionne of Hartsville, and Richard Mark (Lynn) Dionne of Florence; and grandchildren, Ellen Dionne, Rachael Dionne and Mark Dionne. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Frances Virginia Mims Dionne; his brothers, Edwin Dionne and Joel Dionne; and his sisters, Marie D. McFarland, Leola LaPlente and Lucille Paul. A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
