Norma M. Lynch

Norma M. Lynch of Florence, SC, made the transition from earth to her home in heaven on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Mrs. Lynch was born a daughter of the late Eugene Mitchell and Lawtice Bell Mitchell.She was a graduate of Greenville High School and graduated from North Greenville Junior College. Mrs. Lynch worked with Probate Court in Florence for thirty-eight years, the last thirty as Deputy Judge of Probate.She was a past President of Business and Professional Women and a member of First Baptist Church of Florence. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert (Bob) Mitchell and sister, Doris Godsey. Mrs. Lynch is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dr. Marvin W. Lynch; son, Marvin W.“Woody” Lynch, Jr. (Lisa) of Florence, SC; granddaughters, Elizabeth H. Lynch and Coleman C. Lynch; sister, Martha Shearer of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Polly Mitchell of Mauldin, SC; and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2:57 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Family will greet friends immediately following the service. A private committal service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family is grateful for the kindness and love extended to Norma by all the personnel at The Manor and McLeod Hospice.
