Norma Jean Burns, 79, surrounded by her loving family, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 29, 2016 after an illness.Norma was born in Johnsonville, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Gertrude Joye Powell.She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and quilting, but above all she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael “Kenny” Powell and Larry Powell; and sister, Chris Bellamy. Surviving are her sons, Bruce (Beverly) Evans of Florence, Marty (Sherle) Robins of Anacortes, WA and Fred (Cindy) Robins of Fayetteville, NC; daughters, Kathy (Jose) Villa of San Antonio, TX and Patty Stillwagon of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Patricia (Bob) Russell of Florence and Beverly (David) Klopfer of Aiken, SC; brother, Ronald (Marilyn) Powell of Columbia; grandchildren, Charles Evans, Lana Robins, Christopher Robins, Elizabeth Parker, Henry Stultz, Renee Smith, Lydia Villa, Norma Closson, Emilie Stillwagon, Grant Stillwagon and several great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the House of Hope, P.O. Box 7129, Florence, SC 29502. Services to honor Norma will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
