NEVILLE EUGENE FILES FLORENCE, SC Neville Eugene Files, 62, of Florence, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. Coach Files was born in Greenwood, SC a son of Horace Files and the late Myrtle Jenelle Huckaby Files.He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was currently attending Newspring Church.He had been a coach with West Florence High School since 1979 and was currently their Athletic Director. He was grateful for the opportunity to be part of his student’s/player’s lives and honored to work with the staff and other coaches at West Florence, “Go Knights”. Coach Files is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Charlotte Davis Files of Florence; sons, Justin (Tracie) Files and Brandon Files, both of Florence; granddaughter, Jenelle Files, age two, who was the apple of his eye; sisters, Judy (Mike) Brown and Kim (Brian) Robertson, both of Greenwood; his father, Horace (Flora) Files of Greenwood and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the West Florence High School Gymnasium directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
