NETTIE ARTHELIA TUCKER FLOWERS FLORENCE, SC Nettie Arthelia Tucker Flowers, 81, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Flowers was born in Moore Co., NC a daughter of the late William Harrison Tucker and Mamie Louise Collins Tucker.She had been a nurse’s aide at McLeod Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Woodrow Flowers, and by two daughters, an infant and Elizabeth Wise. Surviving are her children, Tony Lee (Vickie) Flowers of Florida, Maggie (Glenn) Evans of Bennettsville and Emogene (Jimmy) McKissick of Florence; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a sister, Carol (Toye) Edwards of High Point, NC. Memorials may be made to the Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, 308 W. Main Street, Bennettsville, SC29512. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 5, 2013 in the Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel.Burial will follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM Friday prior to the service at the cemetery.
