Nell Lee McCollum Nellie Adele Lee McCollum, widow of Angus Leroy McCollum, died January 19th, 2017 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.Mrs. McCollum was born October 27th, 1926 in Coward, Florence County, SC and was the eldest child of Robbie Dudley and Gertie Miles Lee. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Lee McCollum (widow of Terry) Downs of Raleigh, NC and Jeannie Adele McCollum (Dr. Malcolm L. III) Marion of Rock Hill, SC; four grandchildren, Robert (Suzanne) Downs of Raleigh, NC, Janis D. (Jeremy) Tipton of St. Johns, MI, Jane M. (JEB) Wilson of Lowrys, SC, and Matthew (Stephanie) Marion of Gainesville, FL; six great grandchildren, James Tipton, Madison Tipton, Malcolm (Mac) Wilson, Samuel Marion, Cora Marion, and Burris Wilson; two sisters, Addie L. (Carol Hugh) Calcutt of Pamplico, SC andRudy L. (Garland) Steele of Scranton, SC; one brother, Billy (Rita) Lee of Lake City, SC and several nieces and nephews.She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Florence, SC, the Christian Family Sunday School Class, and the Joy Anderson Circle.Private interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence followed by funeral services at 2pm, Saturday, January 21st at the Stoudenmire–Dowling Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend William F. Malambri, III officiating.The family will receive visitors immediately following the service.Memorials may be made to the Music Fund of Central United Methodist Church, PO Box 87, Florence, SC 29501-0087 or a charity of choice.
