Nathan Marsden Fowler Summerton, SC Nathan Marsden Fowler, 81, a long-time resident of Florence for 30 years before moving to Summerton, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 in a Sumter, SC health care facility after an illness. Mr. Fowler was born November 23, 1931 in Tabor City, NC, a son of the late Coley and Flossie Harrelson Fowler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He was a life time member of the USC Alumni Association, Charter member of Lakeland, Florida Toastmaster Club, The Exchange Club and a former member of the Kiwanis Club in Florence, SC. He was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are his 3 children, Nathan Fowler, Jr. of Houston, TX, Elizabeth Lee Fowler and her husband, Richard Joseph LePage, Jr. of Portland, OR and Anne Fowler Black and her husband, Carl Neely Black, of Fort Mill, SC; the mother of his children, Margaret M. Fowler of Florence;aunt, Daisy Hewitt of Tabor City, NC; grandchildren, Devon LePage, Liza LePage both of Portland, OR, Graham Fowler of Asheville, NC, Ann Fowler of Charleston, SC, and Karina Grace Black of Fort Mill, SC; special friend, Corrille DeWitt of Summerton. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Florence National Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M.–12:00 P.M. Friday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home, P.O.
