Naomi H. Schmitt

Naomi H. Schmitt, 62, of Effingham, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Mrs. Schmitt was born a daughter of the late Nellie Wheeler Crosby. She was a registered nurse and worked for 40 years at Carolinas/MUSC.She was a faithful member of Abundant Life Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Carl R. Howes, II. Ms. Schmitt is survived by her husband, Jim Schmitt; daughter, Sarah Schmitt of Florence; and sister-in-law, Linda Howes of Murray, KY. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM on Sunday at the Stoudemire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, social distancing will be observed.
