Angels stood to greet Nancy Vinesett Ellis on July 2, 2018. Nancy was born in Charlotte, NC on August 15, 1940. She was a daughter of L.T. and Bertha Vinesett. She graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte. She met the love of her life, Bobby Ellis, during junior high school. Her husband became the most blessed guy in Charlotte on May 28, 1960, when he married Nancy. They shared 58 wonderful years together. Nancy was a faithful member of Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church and served 33 years at First Baptist Church. Words are so limiting when describing Nancy’s love for Jesus and her desire to pattern her life after Him. She was called to be a prayer warrior during Judgment House. She was always there for anyone who called on her. She was a real estate broker serving the Florence area for 37 years. After his retirement from General Motors, her husband, Bobby, partnered with her in the real estate business. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.T. and Bertha Vinesett; five brothers, Malcolm Vinesett, Larry Vinesett, Gilbert Vinesett, Robert Vinesett, and William Vinesett; and four sisters, Margaret Edwards, Doris Richard, Chrissy Biggerstaff and Madeline Vinesett. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Ellis; two sons, Cliff Ellis and Scott (Cindy) Ellis; a daughter, Terri (Paul) Micale; seven grandchildren, Zachary Micale, Ethan (Amanda) Grainger, Jordan (Chaney) Kemmerlin, Derek Grainger, Natalie Ellis, Riley Ellis and Causey Ellis; and sister, Vicky (Gene) Rapp. Memorials may be made to Gideons International, www.gideons.org. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church.Entombment will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
