Myrtle Lou Norton Saverance

MYRTLE LOU NORTON SAVERANCE FLORENCE, SC MYRTLE LOU NORTON SAVERANCE, 81, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Heritage Home of Florence after an illness. Mrs. Saverance was born on November 3, 1932 in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late P.M. Norton and Ella Hewitt Norton.She devoted much of her life to caring for her mother and later for her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis Marion “F.M.” Saverance; step-son, Marion Saverance, Jr.; sister, Pauline N. Edwards and brother, Royal Norton. Surviving are her daughter, Margaret (Joe) Miyasaki; son, Rhett Saverance; sisters, Doris Poston and Elease Webb; grandchildren, Chelsey Miyasaki, Marissa Miyasaki, Tanner Miyasaki and Callie Saverance; sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Teencie” Gandy; a number of nieces and nephews from NY, VA, and SC who loved her and many friends including her lifelong, special friend Doris “Pickle” Hayes. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, January 17, 2014 at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
