Myrtis Wise Turner Leach

Myrtis Wise Turner Leach, 98, of Florence, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018. She was one of thirteen children born to the late Henry C. Wise and Eliza Ann Poston Wise. She attended Hannah schools. Mrs. Leach was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Mrs. Leach is preceded in death by her husband, James Emerson Leach, Sr.; grandson, Wayne Sims; her parents; and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, James Emerson Leach, Jr. (Sheila) of Charlotte; daughters, Lida Turner Sims (Billy), Joyce Kirven (Charles), and Bonnie Stuber (George), all of Effingham; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Anne Gastor of Florence and Zula McAllister of Lake City. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm on Wednesday at the church.
