Morgan Richard Harrell

Morgan Richard Harrell, 68, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Harrell was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Morgan Hewitt Harrell and Elizabeth Wells Harrell.He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Germany.He graduated from Southside High School, Class of 1966.He attended Clemson for two years and graduated from Florence-Darlington TEC.Mr. Harrell was the owner of Harrell’s Upholstery and loved woodworking.He was a member of Northgate Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon and Minister of Music. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Linda Alford Harrell; daughter Angela (John) Cason of Anderson, SC; sons, Richard Walter Harrell of Florence and Hewitt P. (Michelle) Harrell of Darlington; grandchildren, Noah Griffin Harrell, Malena Rose Harrell, Elizabeth Ann Cason, Tanner Morgan Harrell and Noelle Star Harrell; brother, Leon (Karen) Harrell of Florence; and sister, Jessie (Jimmy) Edwards of Florence. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Northgate Baptist Church.Burial with military rites will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
