Monica Ann McDowell

Monica Ann McDowell, 53, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025

She was born in Florence, SC, the daughter of Patsy Kennedy McDowell and the late Billy Charles McDowell. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Miss McDowell worked at McLeod Hospital for 23 years, where she was an MRI Technician. She adored her family and loved spending time with them, especially with her granddaughter and nephews. She was an avid traveler who loved going to the mountains and the beach. Miss McDowell also enjoyed going on boat rides during her beach visits.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her baby brother, Billy Charles McDowell Jr.

Surviving are her son, Graham Young (Katie) McDowell; granddaughter, Brooklyn McDowell; brother, Brad (Liza) McDowell; sister, Michelle McDowell; nephews, Colin McDowell and Carson McDowell; best friend, Julie O’Neal; and by her work family at McLeod.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be private.
